How to install the AV Phone Demo

The Sierra Wireless AV Phone Demo enables you to simulate an object using your phone.

The AV Phone app is compatible with these devices:

• iPad2 (Cellular only)
• iPad Air / iPad Air 2
• iPhone 4S
• iPhone 5 / 5S
• iPhone 6 / 6+
• All Android devices

Compatible OS:

• iOS 8+
• Android > 4.2

You will need to install the demo onto your Android or iOS device.

Your device must have a data connection present over either Wifi or mobile network and you must have an AirVantage account to be able to login.

Install on an Android device

(Go to install on iOS device)

Get the AV Phone app on Google Play and download.

Open the app and you will see this screen.

Click "Login to your AirVantage account".

You will then have the option to choose the correct data centre, either EU or North America depending on what you used when signing up.

Fill in the login information as appropriate.

Once logged in you will see the send data screen. 

In order to start sending data you must press the "Off" icon under "Send Data".

It will then switch to "On" as seen below.

You can also change the labels of your custom data by going to the "Configure tab" at the top of the screen.

Install on an iOS device

Get the AV Phone app on the Apple Store.

Launch the app and you will see this screen.

Click on "Login to your AirVantage Account".

You will then have the option to choose the correct data centre, either EU or North America depending on what you used when signing up.

Fill in the login information as appropriate.

Once logged in you will see the send data screen. 

In order to start sending data you must slide the slider to the right under the heading "Send data every 2min".

It will then switch to an "On" position as seen below.

By pressing the arrowed touch area on the app, you can bring up some more options. 

Clicking on "EDIT" next to simulated objects will allow you to see the list of data for that object.

Ready to go

Your mobile device will now be sending data to your AirVantage account. Once you link your AirVantage account to Assetwolf you can then see charts, graphs and tables for your asset data.
